Butterfly Day

In celebrating Butterfly Day, students raised money for research and help for people with eating disorders.The Butterfly Foundation and Research Institute was formed in 2002. Kindy - Yr 7 students paricipated in butterfly activities which included butterfly bracelets, playdough butterflies, painting butterflies, butterfly collage on flowers, icing biscuits with butterfly sprinkles, handprints to form a butterfly shape, and butterfly face painting and tattoos. The students were kept very busy and didn't want the morning to finish. The Yr 12 students who helped with the activities did a great job.
In the afternoon the Secondary School participated in Butterfly activities.Some stain glass butterflies were made with cellophane, students made their handprints into butterfly shapes, there were butterfly tattoos , face painting and games to keep the students busy. There were also prizes for best dressed butterflies. A very succesful fundraising day was had by all.
