Connections

Students in Years 9 and 10 at BTC and ASSG were given the opportunity to find out more about a variety of career paths when they attended the Connections presentation held at BTC.After  a welcome from Mr Fairbairn, guest speaker Mr Gary Dolye challenged the students to open their minds to the variety of career paths their future could hold. Mr Doyle, who started as a mechanic at Charmichael Ford and is now the Principal at John Flynn College, showed the number of career paths he has taken and  highlighted the need to enjoy your work and never stop learning or growing. After his entertaining and motivational speech the students broke up into groups to move around classrooms while hearing about experiences and job descriptions from a wide range of professionals. For BTC students it was exciting to have past students Braden Honnery (chef) and Ellie Rea (dental industry) to talk about their careers.
