Primary Interschool Swimming Carnival

Primary students aged 9 years to 13 years competed in the Interschool Swimming Carnival on Friday. It was heartening to see so many students competing in their events to get points for their College. Students swam in heats and were seeded in the finals according to their times. In the 50m freestyle events Emma Zischke, Ned Marshall, Ronnie Critchley, Connor Neville , Jessee Santo, Maddie and India Aitchison and Tak Kuwajima and Daniel Windus made it through to the finals with Jessee powering down the pool to grab a 2nd in a slick  33 secs, Maddie and India battling out with India touching first and Tak claiming a strong 1st  place. In the 50 m backstroke Riley Casson, Konnar McDonald, Ronnie Critchley, Taylor Hughes Connor Neville , Jaxson  Gallagher, Maddie Aitchison , India Aitchison, Tak Kuwajima and Daniel Windus lined up in the finals. Bree-anna Eberle, Ronnie Critchley, Connor Neville , Jessee Santo, Maddie and India Aitchison , Tak Kuwajima and Daniel Windus lined up at the blocks for the 50m breaststroke finals. The numbers dwindled slightly for the 50m fly but we still lined up to do our best.  Nine year old swimmers Jahana Critchley . Lili Clavis  and Hayden Gallagher swam well in their races with Jahana claiming a 2nd in the 50m breaststroke.  The senior girls relay team claimed a 3rd ribbon after a spirited last leg swim by Jessee . Congratulations to all the students who swam. At the end of the day Jessee Santo was Runner- Up 12 Year Girl Age Champion,  India Aitchison was 13 Year Girl Age Champion with Maddie Aitchison Runner Up 13 Year Champion and Takumi Kuwajima was Runner Up 13 Years Boys Age Champion. In the Aggregate Trophy  BTC came 4th and in the Average trophy came 3rd. Once again  well done to all the swimmers who represented BTC to the best of their ability.!
