Tallebudgera Camp

Well after a long day of travelling we arrived at Tallebudgera Camp. After being shown rooms and given a run down of the camp the group headed to the beach. A lot of the students hit the surf, while others drew in the sand, made sandcastles and played touch footy. They marvelled at the 'squeaky' sand they were walking and running through.  We have finished dinner and are watching Iron Man 3.  While we have some keen starters now for our 6am beach walk in the morning will see how many jump out of bed.......

Day 2
We had a few takers for our early morning walk.....everyone enjoyed it. After breakfast we walked up to the Tallebudgera Creek and went Kayaking. After  learning a few skills we paddled down the creek to near the David Fleay nature park where we had morning tea. We then paddled back to Crab Island ( well at least it wasn't Crocodile Island ) where the students had a swim. Home again and a quick shower before lunch. After lunch the students played beach games such as Capture the Flag, making a channel the sand for the tennis ball to follow and running games while also being involved in team building games in the indoor court area. Tonight we play Evasion Games ( eg dodge ball)   I think we should sleep well tonight.

Day 3
The early morning walking group was a bit smaller this morning. The students and staff decked out in wetsuits hit the surf  to catch a few waves. It was a bit choppy but the BTC crew did well. There were a few wipeouts lots of laughs and some stood up.  After lunch we changed the program a bit and went on a group walk around Burleigh Hill  to Burleigh Heads beach. We went the low way around the hill on the way over  found the Cold Rock Ice Cream shop, had a surf and then came back on the track over the hill. Once again we will sleep well again tonight

Day 4
Once again after our morning walk, and breakfast, we were on the move again. Today was our trip to SeaWorld After we arrived we watched the Sea Lion Show ( Fish Detectives). We then had our "behind the scenes' talk about seals and how to train seals. A quick walk and we saw the Dolphin Show. The students then broke in groups and were free to explore Sea World and have some lunch.  A great day was had by all. Now it is clean up time, pack up time  and get ready to leave in the morning.
