Secondary Interschool Sport

With most of the teams playing their last Interschool Sport this week there was some pleasing results. BTC competed against CCC and on the softball fields all 3 teams on the Wednesday took out victories. The 2nds won their Premiership with a 3 up 3 down innings against CCC. From the pitch of Bridget Ginns Larkin , Anna Moloney caught the hit and threw the ball back to Kerry-Ann Bulsey on 1st base to get the runner out...for a double play. Next pitch saw Bridget  catch the hit and it was all out. BTC won 19-3. Well deserved Maccas for the team.The 14's and 15's had long batting innings as the CCC team struggled to get them out. 13's won 14-3 and 14's were still batting but had a comprehensive win.

Thursday games saw the 1sts softball defeat CCC 11-1 to take out Undefeated Premiers for the competition.Great pitcher/catcher combo from Rachael and Shelly, while Patrice covered short stop area and took a great catch. 3 timely catches from Madi with the last one leading to a double play after a strong throw to Breana on 1st base. Amy at 2nd took a catch before racing to her base to make another double play.Katie, playing on 3rd base, tagged a runner out and nearly hit a home run. Merial,filling in for Demi,had a solid game and did an impressive slide into 1st base to be given 'safe' by the umpire. Kaylin covered the long  ball well and ran well around the bases.
15's softball narrowly went down to CCC 6-8, but played well.
