Interschool Sport - Netball

BTC competed against ASSG in a Sunday  competition of both netball and rugby league. BTC played well and in the best spirit of the game congratulations to all competitors and supporters. the results were as follows.
2nds Netball went down to ASSG 8-13.  The girls had a great 3rd quarter to even the scores but ASSG got away from them in the last quarter. Best BTC player was Jemimah Phillott.
15 yrs girls was another close game. With many players away playing Charters Towers Rep netball, the team had the bare minimum players. The game was very close with the scores being even or 1 point difference when Patrice was injured during the last quarter. With no reserves, the team played with 6 players and ASSG managed to sneak ahead. Final score had BTC going down 15-21 with Patrice  Jones being awarded  the BTC player of the game.
The 14 yr girls had a  very convincing win over ASSG 33-6 with Catherine Oliver being nominated as the best BTC player.
The 13 yrs girls played strongly but went down to ASSG 7-22. Catherine Weicks was BTC's best player.
Finally the 1sts netball took the court. the teams started fairly well matched with first quarter 1-6. The second  and third quarter saw ASSG extend the lead but BTC came back stronger in the last quarter.  Although the team played well, they went down 9-26. Merial Kenni was the best player for BTC.
