Commemoration Day and Colours Assembly

The College celebrated its 97th year on Commemoration Day.The Principal, Mr Nigel Fairbairn shared facts and information about the establishment of first Thornburgh College and then Blackheath College before their amalgamation in later years.  Guest speaker and past student, Trevor Berryman, spoke of his days as a student at Thornburgh College and the different career pathways he has taken since finishing his schooling. This gave the students an insight into the possibilities, challenges and rewards in their future career choices.
College Captains, Amy Neville and Lachlan Wearing,  gave speeches highlighting their visions for the future of the College as it moves towards its 100th year .
The BTC Band  and choir entertained the crowd before the Colours and Half- Colours awardees for swimming and cross country were announced.
