Sports Day BTC vs ASSG at ASSG

ASSG hosted the Interschool Sports Day with students competing in netball and rugby league.
the netball games began at 10.30 am with the 13 yrs taking to the court. in a hard fought game that was exciting to the end, The BTC girls got up to win 20-17 with Aaliyah Williams getting MVP. The 14's had a hard game but always gave their best with no subs and players filling in on the day, the team went down 6-35 . Catherine Weicks  was awarded MVP. The 15's turned it around with a good win 25-15 and Tarrisha Baira awarded MVP.The BTC  2nds played well to defeat ASSG 37-11. Lauren Millett was voted MVP.The 1sts played a great game with defence in the goal circle the  best I have seen this season..  In a nail biting finish the team came to within 2 points of upsetting ASSG but just fell short to go down 17-20. MVP was Hayley Condon.

The the league games only the 13'sand the 1sts competed today. 13's were down 8-nil at half time . they kept trying but couldn't break line of  the bigger and stronger ASSG team. MVP was Louie Johnstone.
The 1sts put in a good effort even though the ball seemed to want to jump out of their hands a bit.  Strong running onto the ball and some good stepping  saw Connor Essex through the gap to post first points. Mitch Fogarty followed suit to step and power over the line.  Travis Wilson scored out wide and with Mitch converting all tries, half time score was 18-12, BTC's favour.
BTC played a good defensive game and kept ASSG scoreless for the second half.  Lachlan Corrigan crossed the line and Mitch Fogarty went for the hat trick as he scored two more tries. With him converting all his kicks , full time score was 36-12. MVP was Mitch Fogarty.
