Primary Interschool Swimming Carnival

The Primary Swim Team competed against the other schools in Charters Towers at the Interschool Swimming Carnival.
The first event was the 100m freestyle with Juke, Nate,  Ainsley and Mia  making it through to the finals. Nate placed 6th, Ainsley 5th and Mia 7th in the final.
50 m freestyle  had most of our swimmers making it through to the finals.
9yrs had Grace touching 5th Summer 8th, Lincon 7th and Jackson 8th while in the 10 yr  race  Nate claimed 3rd. 11yr Juke sizzled down the pool to touch at 37.50 to claim 1st place  and Maclyn placed 6th. 12 yr races had Ainsley  just pipped at the post by the smallest margin .05sec to claim 2nd 40.22  with Mia  and Declan touching 8th in their respective races.
50m breaststroke finals had  Jackson touching 8th and Lincon 7th , Grace 4th and Eloise 7th.10yr Brock touched 8th ,11yr Maclyn touched 7th while Juke had  a hard fought win and stopped the clock at 52.85. Ainsley swam a great 4th place  with Mia 8th.
50m backstroke had Lincon and Jackson with a close finish for 6th and 7th with  a similar finish for Grace and Eloise. Nate swam well with Juke again claiming a good win, touching the wall at 45.44. Declan, Mia and Ainsley swam well in the 12 yrs finals.
With most butterfly events going straight to finals , all the students made it to the finals. Grace touched 5th and Lincon and Jackson battled it out again for minor placings. Nate and Brock placed 6th and 7th while Juke continued his winning streak to easily touch 1st. Ainsley touched 3rd while Mia took 7th.
In the Freestyle Relays the Junior Girls placed 4th but unfortunately an early change over saw the Junior Boys disqualified.  Senior Girls placed 4th and Senior Boys came 6th.
In the Medley Relays Junior Boys placed 3rd, Junior Girls 4th, Senior Girls 4th and Senior Boys 4th.

Juke Ferguson was 11yrs Boys Age Champion, while Ainsley Thompson was 12 yrs Girls Joint Runner Up.  Congratulations!
Finally BTC placed 4th in the Aggregate  Trophy and 2nd in the Average Trophy.
