BTC 1sts Cricket Snatch the Premierships

After losing the toss the BTC boys had to bat first, The boys were a little
nervous because they were playing to win premiership.  After a slow first
couple of overs Jack and Ben started to make a few runs and find their form, then
a wicket was taken. In came Harry who made a quick few runs then he was
bowled out. Josh came in and with a few massive hits  scored 3 sixes and a couple of singles
before the crowd saw him dismissed.  Next Kelland who made 54 runs with a partnership with
Reg who made a few runs before being dismissed. Finally Jacob got to face
the very last ball scoring one run off it for the team.  After 20 overs the
boys had made a 100 runs.  Columba got off to a slow start with a couple of
maiden overs from our bowlers but were quick to find their form after that.
A catch that was taken by Harry and bowled by Kelland saw that partnership come
to an end.  Leaving the supporters on the sideline rather nervous and a very
anxious coach.  With the last two overs Columba needed 12 runs from 12
balls.  Harry bowling the second last over saw them needing twelve from
twelve with all fielders blocking balls to stop runs and decent throws to
the wickets.  Then came Kelland for the last over .........with no pressure on him . it
came down to the very last ball with Columba needing two runs to win.  As
the ball was delivered and hit in middle field a quick pick up by Harry to
throw back to the bowlers end and a good catch by Kelland saw a run out to
give the BTC boys a great win.   All boys played well and with Josh and Jack
injured they still managed to play.  What a great team effort boys  and it was also good to see supporters there to cheer them on.
